Including the ongoing efforts of the Workforce Partnership, the Sidney City Schools are actively engaged in making current students more employable while also considering careers that don't require college. A shining example and success story for current students will enter the district's Hall of Honor on Friday, April 20, 2018, when Mike Herbert (SHS/JVS 1985) is joined by Raeburn E. Barnes (SHS 1892), Ardiss Willman Luce (SHS 1967), and Richard R. Rediske (SHS 1970) to raise Hall membership to 127.

Local Business Leader Joins Hall of Honor

Four new inductees will joining Sidney City Schools Hall of Honor. Among those being inducted is Martin L. "Mick" Given (SHS 1975). Given is the President of Ferguson Construction in Sidney. Currently notable in his community resume is his leadership with the highly acclaimed Workforce Partnership program in the Sidney City Schools.

Mick Given (SHS 1975) will be joined by fellow alumni Susan L. Russell (SHS 1970) and Thomas P. Milligan (SHS 1978), along with the late Kenneth W. McCormick (Teacher 1968-93) as the newest inductees to the Sidney City Schools Hall of Honor on Friday, April 21 at 7:30pm in the high school auditorium. A reception will follow in the adjacent gymnasium with both events fully open to the public.
